Mat and Salt

Growing up on Isla Margarita, the ocean shaped how I see light and movement. My path into photography wasn’t academic; it was born from the high velocity of professional kitesurfing. Capturing extreme motion taught me a hyper-acute instinct for timing—freezing the exact split-second a wave cracks or a skater hits their line. Now based in Ericeira, my photography is the connective tissue of Mat & Salt, translating raw ocean culture, surf, and skate into a patient, striking visual language.
